How to Book
We're based out of Fuquay-Varina, about 14 miles from Coats, and we run the truck out this way rather than keeping a branch in town. Call and tell us what the door is doing - stuck, off track, opener running but door not moving, spring snapped - and we'll get a truck scheduled out to you. Because we're traveling in rather than working from a Coats address, it helps to have someone home or able to let us into the garage when we arrive, and to know whether the door is single or double, since that changes which spring and cable we load before we leave Fuquay-Varina. We don't maintain a storefront in Coats itself, so there's no walk-in counter here - booking is by phone, and the job happens at your house.
Why It Happens Here
A median build year of 1977 means a lot of Coats garages are still running original or first-replacement hardware - steel doors on torsion springs rated for a service life that's long since passed, openers from an era before modern safety reversal sensors were standard. That combination shows up as the same handful of failures: a spring that's been cycling for close to fifty years finally lets go, a cable frays at the drum, or an opener's gears strip because it's been fighting a door that's no longer balanced. The area's winters push into the cold-moderate band, and cold snaps make old grease stiffen and old steel more brittle, which is often what turns a slow problem into a dead-stop one. Household incomes here run lower than in the bigger towns nearby, and we keep that in mind when we talk through repair versus replacement - fixing a worn but sound door usually costs less than swapping it, and we'll say so plainly instead of pushing a new unit you don't need.
